Celebrate Christmas with a special touch! Our Chorizo in Plum Sauce recipe is the perfect combination of festive flavors and tradition.


  • 500g of Toluca chorizo (whatever you prefer) 1 chopped onion 2 chopped garlic cloves 1 can of prunes (seeded and cut) 1 can of crushed tomato 1 tablespoon of brown sugar 1 teaspoon of cumin 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika Salt and pepper taste Chopped fresh parsley (to decorate)



  1. In a large skillet, cook the chorizo until golden brown. Remove excess fat if necessary and set aside.

  2. In the same pan, add the onion and garlic, cook until golden and soft.

  3. Add the prunes, crushed tomato, brown sugar, cumin and paprika. Mix well and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add the chorizo back to the pan, mix with the sauce and let simmer for another 10 minutes.

  5. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. 6. Serve hot, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top to decorate and serve with bread or rice.
